Go on a discovery with the whole family with an experienced birdwatcher*
SUMMER EVENING IN KENNEMERDUINEN During the summer evenings in July and August, there is plenty to experience in the Kennemerduinen. The birdsong swells just before the sunset, and most birds perch on the tops of bushes to show themselves. Hundreds of swallows hunt insects above the water, and waders and other water birds gather their food on the mudflats of the Vogelmeer. In short, there are plenty of reasons to experience birdwatching in the evening. In the last week of July and in August, we can even expect the first birds that are on their way back to their wintering grounds!
Registration is mandatory. If you are unable to join, please inform the reception as well.

De vogelzang zwelt, zo vlak voor het ondergaan van de zon, nog even flink aan en daarbij gaan de meeste vogels in de toppen van een struik zitten om zich te laten zien. Boven het water jagen honderden zwaluwen op de insecten en op de slikranden van het Vogelmeer scharrelen steltlopers en andere watervogels hun eten bij elkaar. Kortom genoeg reden om eens te ervaren hoe het is om vogels te kijken in de avond. In de laatste week van juli en in augustus kunnen we zelfs alweer de eerste vogels verwachten die op de weg terug naar hun overwintersgebieden zijn!
